Тіл мерейі – ел мерейі
On September 28th, 2019, on the basis of Kokshetau Central Library, as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Kokshetau, the librarians and teachers of NIS organized an event “”Tіl mereyі – el mereyі”. The students of Musin Higher Kazakh Pedagogical College and the readers of the library attended the meeting. The vice-principle of primary school of NIS Toleubaeva A.S. spoke of school achievements for the past 10 years, the recognition of NIS-programs in the country and abroad, as well as the language immersion program. The head of the methodical association of primary school, Boranbaeva A.K. shared her teaching experience; spoke about approaches to teaching and learning Kazakh with the help of language immersion program. The students and readers of the library asked NIS students questions about the school, who in turn shared their experience in learning Kazakh. Prokopenko Daria, the 5th grade student, read Abai’s poems, noting the uniqueness of the poetic style, Timofeev Danil, the 7th grade student, played Abai’s song “Zhelsіz tүndde zharyk ai” on the dombra, Nukenova Diana, a 7th grade student shared her experience of how she learned to communicate with her first teacher of the language immersion class Sabdina A.A., helping and supporting each other. To exchange experience, NIS teachers have planned training workshops for students of the pedagogical college. The speakers were engaging and the meeting itself was very productive and interactive.
