Summer School kicked off on Monday morning for gr 9 learners at NIS. Educators eagerly awaited learners with a promise for exciting activities on a daily basis .  During Cell Studies learners made plant and animal cells which they observed under the microscope and ended the session expressing their creativity by making coloured posters and even models of cells using sweets and jelly  .

Learners  were engaged in planning sessions  and then group sessions . Presentations were also made to the rest of the class. The focus of the summer school was to get learners involved in the scientific process in a fun and enjoyable way. They were left to observe and discover as well as unravel different biological processes.
