The Shanyrak “Burabay” was formed at the beginning of this academic year. It consists of grades 7″B” and 10 “B”. Our slogan: “Shanyrak “Burabai” – forward and together!”

For us this association is an opportunity to share experience and to work as a team. We always promote a positive atmosphere, teach and learn from each other, and the most important thing: we find creative and effective solutions for each problem. Participation in different school projects helps our students to demonstrate their talents and civic responsibility. Many of us work as volunteers, for example, we attend a kindergarten weekly to play with kids and share knowledge…

Winter Ball

A “Winter Ball” organized by Shanyrak “Burabai” was held in Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Kokshetau on December 20. The school atrium looked like a room from a fairy-tale palace, decorated with snowflakes, sequins and magic lights of garlands.

When we discussed the future scenario of the evening, we decided to take the story of the Nutcracker as the basis. Therefore, we wished to create the interior of the children’s room where the action takes place: we installed in the hall a Christmas tree, a fireplace, a sofa, put different toys and Christmas decorations.

Each participant of the party got two flyers for entering the New Year’s “Winter Ball”. The couples appeared in the hall one by one. Elegant boys and charming girls lined up in a circle and a fairy-tale has begun.

The New Year’s performance about the Nutcracker alternated with polonaise, waltz and a mazurka that 14 couples of students had to dance. The best dancers became “The King” and “The Queen” of the evening – they were Temirlan Seitkali from grade 11 “E” and Korkem Kabdrashit from 11 “B”.

The other participants had awards also and each of them was glad to participate in this holiday. They all applauded girls from the 9th grade who performed a dynamic dance and to the students of the 8th grade who sang wonderful in the live sound of the instruments. Nursat Basbolatov, an 11th grade student, played guitar and sang the song “Happy New year” and all spectators were singing with him… It was a magic evening that has ended late with a New Year’s disco.
