Workshop “Design Thinking: Introduction”

On the 28th of January in 2015 the workshop “Design Thinking: Introduction” was conducted for NIS teachers in Kokshetau. The teachers were introduced to the main principles of the new approach “Design Thinking” which is being implemented now in all spheres of modern life all over the world. The workshop was organized in such a way when all the participants should go through all the stages of Design Thinking process according to it algorithm:

1) Empathize  

2) Define

3) Ideate

4) Prototype

5) Test

The first step- the participants identified the problem from their school life they would like to solve or find the solution to.

The second step – the participants provided focus and framed the problem in order to try to find the solution to the identified problem.

The third step –the participants in the groups chose the possible solution to the problem and began prototyping it.

The fourth step– the participants presented their ideas and got feedback from the audience.

The fifth step  – the participants evaluated the results of their work.

The workshop was organized in an interactive form, many interesting and thoughtful ideas were generated by the participants of this workshop.
