“Open the world of science”

The ninth-grade student of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Kokshetau Indira Kairzhanova won the first prize in the 15th International scientific competitions of space research “Open the world of science”.Her work is named “Production of porous materials for SHS synthesis rockets”. The goal of the project is to obtain porous composite materials by SHS based on titanium compounds with high durability. The project has been made by Indira and her mentor and teacher of Chemistry Samal Satieva .“It was very scareful and I was very worried, because the first time I took part in such a project.  There were more than 20 participants in my section “Space Technology and Infrastructure”. I did not even hope to win because I thought that everyone had better projects  and the participants themselves were more experienced than me. But, our work with the mentor was highly estimated. I think they gave me the first prize due to accurate calculations and new research methods”,-says Indira. Congratulations to Indira on the award!
