Information on the work of physics department

 

In our Physics Department in the 2016-2017 academic year, there are 13 teachers, including:

The Physics Department (PD) includes two teachers with an academic master’s degree. The teacher of physics of Zhangozy Ongarbay in the 2014-2015 academic year successfully completed an internship program at the University of Sussex, UK, specialty of ‘Pedagogy and Psychology: Issues of Pedagogy Curriculum, teacher education and Teacher Leadership, pedagogical diagnostics, Assessment and Educational Quality Management, T99’sponsored by the Bolashak Scholarship, by the government of Kazakhstan.

As a part of the methodical association, five laboratory assistances serve five physics classrooms and two enhanced laboratories equipped with devices for conducting experimental, demonstration and research work on the subject.

Physics lessons in the 11th grades are conducted in English according to the new Integrated Program. Extra-curricular «Nanotechnology» and «Design thinking» lessons (an elective course) in 8 gradesare conducting, with the Kazakh and Russian language of instructions, respectively.

’Development of intellectual capacities of students in the formation of research skills in the lessons’

Goals:

  • to improve the effectiveness of the educational process through the application of modern approaches to the organization of educational activities, continuous improvement of the professional level and pedagogical skills, in the context of the transition to a new content of education, the implementation of a new mechanism for assessing the results of students’ learning.

Objectives:

  • The improvement of the methodological level of teachers in mastering new pedagogical technologies, through modeling of students’ motivation;
  • Introduction of new forms of continuous improvement of professional competence of teachers (coaching, webinars, video lessons, online lessons etc.);
  • Creation of conditions for self-realization of all participants of the educational process through the disclosure of their creative potential and participation in innovative activities;
  • Improvement of the system for monitoring and diagnosing the results of students’ learning, the level of professional competence and methodological training of teachers;
  • The systematization of the work of subject teachers on topics of self-education;
  • Activation of work on identifying and summarizing, disseminating the advanced pedagogical experience of creatively working teachers;
  • Formation of scientific research skills of teachers and students;
  • In order to increase an interest of physics, work individually with students;
  • According to the modern requirements of scientific and technological progress, deepening of knowledge of physics.
