TEDx NIS club

At the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Kokshetau, the implementation of the “TEDx NIS” project began with the TED courses for students.

The main purpose of the courses was to create websites, conferences, blogs and articles in Kazakh and English. The students were acquainted with the principles, goals and tasks of this program. During the first stage, they registered in the system, created their own logins and passwords and established a community for communicating with each other and conducting information exchange. Students also watched several videos with various related assignments accompanying them. To successfully accomplish the tasks, the children had to use logical and critical thinking and realize their creative thoughts and ideas in their articles and essays. Children were not afraid to express their point of view or to speak publicly to an audience.The school continues to develop this project. We regularly hold conferences where students can give details to their classmates about their best work as well as share some secrets of learning and social success stories. Also at the conferences of the TEDx NIS club we invite guests and school graduates to attend.
